History

Oasis Carnival Club was formed in the year 2000 with a small elite membership. Their first entry was 'Moscow State Circus' which was reasonably successful within it's first season. The club took part in many Wessex carnivals and County Guy Fawkes carnivals, winning a few prizes along the way. See here for more details

In 2001, it was decided to follow this achievement with a relatively inexpensive entry, due to the epidemic of Foot and Mouth, and the cancellation of Glastonbury Pop Festival ( Usually a high earning fund-raiser for the club )

Despite their troubles we managed to bring out 'Neptune's Fantasy' which again participated in many carnivals throughout the circuits. See here for more details

In 2002, we created our Disney entry and gained relative success with this entry. See here for more details

In 2003 we lived out our best year to date, with Amethyst. This year we added a seperate generator unit to the float. This allowed us to broaden our designs to include the new generator. See here for more details

In 2004 we had a hard year due to the fact we didn't have a build site until August. This greatly impacted on our ability to create the entry. However we still enjoyed some success. See here for more details

Our biggest success in 2004 was in attracting new and exciting members, meaning that 2005 is a year to look forward to!
